From Kathmandu we drive to Pokhara and fly to Jomosom, the starting point of the trek.
At Kagbeni we enter the small country of Mustang, where up to today the ’King’ is the highest authority. Through wild gorges and beautiful villages, along monasteries and Dzongs (forts) you will experience a Tibetan culture,difficult to find elsewhere nowadays. The many restaurations have preserved this treasure of art. The walled city of Lho Manthang has an interesting palace and mavellous monasteries.On the way back we visit the holy temple of Mukthinath before this exceptional trek ends at Jomosom.From here we fly to Pokhara and Kathmandu; back to ‘civilisation’.
