You hike through the Tarap gorge to Dho, once centre of a kingdom. Over high passes you trek in Dolpa to the much praised Pokshindu lake, heart of the National Park of the same name.Snow leopards find ideal conditions in these remote mountains. Ancient monasteries of the Bön religion,Yak caravans carrying salt and a strong attachment to the nature shape the life of the rightly proud Dolpo-pa.
